Rackham Fee Waiver and Grants

Specialized Fee Waiver Groups

Prospective students, who verify their participation with one of the following Specialized Fee Waiver Groups* and are applying for admission in the next academic year to the Rackham Graduate School are eligible for an application fee waiver. Each fee waiver is subject to approval. The specialized fee waivers are not Rackham administered, but recognized by the Rackham Graduate School.

• Florida A & M University (FAMU)
• Institute for Recruitment of Teachers (IRT)
• Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP)
• Minority Access to Research Careers (MARC)
• Ronald E. McNair (McNair)
• Project 1000
• Woodrow Wilson/PPIA
• Teach for America
• Truman Scholars
• Current Volunteer (Vista/Peace Corps, Americorps)
• Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD)
• International Exchange Program
• Latin American Scholarship Programs of American Universities (LASPAU)

Verification from the undergraduate institution or organization that validates each student's participation with the specialized fee waiver group must be submitted with their admission application. Verification documents for the Specialized Fee Waiver Groups are to be uploaded before submitting the online application; don't send to Rackham Graduate School.

Policies Related to Fee Waivers/Grants

• If you pay the application fee, it will not be refunded, even if you are approved for the fee waiver/grant.
• Fee waivers/grants are provided with approval for Rackham Graduate School programs ONLY.
• One fee waiver/grant is allowed per applicant.
• To verify that your program falls under Rackham, please check the Programs of Study.
• If your program is not represented in the full listing of Rackham Programs of Study, click the web link for Non-Rackham Programs and contact the department directly regarding obtaining an application fee waiver.
