Are you feeling isolated? Experiencing writer's block? Discouraged about not making enough progress on your thesis or dissertation? Becoming part of a thesis or dissertation support group might be a key to helping you turn things around. This document is based on advice found in several books about the graduate school experience as well the experiences of a focus group of Rackham students who have been in such groups. It gives advice about getting started and provides guidelines that, if followed, will help the group to succeed. Helpful references are also included.
