Rackham International Students Fellowship
The Rackham International Student Fellowship assists outstanding international students, particularly those who may be ineligible for other kinds of support because of citizenship.
Eligibility
Any Rackham program on the Ann Arbor campus may nominate up to two international graduate students who are in their second or third academic term and are actively pursuing a degree. Preference will be given to students who do not have other sources of funding. US citizens and permanent residents are not eligible.
Selection Criteria
Nominees must have a strong academic record, be making good progress toward the degree, and demonstrate outstanding academic and professional promise.

October 15th, 2009
Award Description
Awards of $7,500 may be used as stipend or tuition. Students may receive this award only once.
Nomination Procedure
Students are nominated by their program for this award. Students should contact their program regarding their selection process.
Programs may submit the nomination, including the following, online at: https://secure.rackham.umich.edu/Fellowships/apps/index.php?entry=10.
- Statement of Student Achievement and Potential, including a brief statement by the graduate program chair regarding the qualifications of the nominee and the selection process used;
- Personal statement from the nominee describing his/her research and future goals;
- Letter of recommendation from the nominee's faculty advisor or graduate chair, noting achievement and promise, previous sources of support, and other funding circumstances;
- Current curriculum vitae (c.v.)
